CKNW radio – The Bill Good Show: Pros and cons of pipeline expansion in BC

May 23, 2013

Dr. Rashid Sumaila and others discuss the pros and cons of pipeline expansion in BC with CKNW’s Bill Good.

If BC doesn’t build more pipelines, what’s the economic alternative? These are some of the questions that will be explored at the first “Credible Conversations forum”. British Columbians from various backgrounds have come together to form the group CRED — Conversations For Responsible Economic Development. What is responsible economic development? The group has serious concerns about the Kinder Morgan expansion project and they want to do research, bring forward data and share information with BC’ers so they can make decisions based on fact and not rhetoric. What are the pros and cons of pipeline development in BC? Can we afford to turn the opportunities down?
